Some guy integrated Google’s NotebookLM with Zotero

My prayers have almost been answered.

The process described in the link above seems to be a breakthrough in the integration between Google NotebookLM (an AI tool similar to “Chat-with-PDF”, but free and better — for now) with Zotero (a reference manager).

However, it’s basically showing how to sync your library with Google Drive, so that Google NotebookLM can access PDF files from it.

Not really something new, if you have been using Zotero with a WebDAV server, paying for its drive, or syncing Google Drive with ZotMoov or Zotfile (as I am).

My bet would be some kind of extension in Zotero that gives access to Google’s NotebookLM to notes, collections, and metadata (not only files).

Someone from Reddit has tried this — with ChatGPT.

But who trusts OpenAI or Google enough to give them access to their virtual intelligence?
