Never got diagnosed with ADHD, but I read somewhere that brains with ADHD tendencies (even mild ones) actually need some background noise to function. I’ve always studied and worked with music playing – though sometimes the emotions music stirs up aren’t super helpful when you’re trying to write a scientific paper… Recently tested white noise and… it helps! Low volumes are better for me.
Another important tip is actually downloading something — and not going to Spotify or YouTube, since these platforms aren’t exactly attention-oriented and can undermine the “intended purpose” ahhahahah. An audio that I’ve found reproduces a dryer sound.
